Report Your Experience

Report your experience

One complaint is dismissed as a bad day. Forty dated complaints showing the same behaviour is evidence — the kind a regulator, a journalist or a court can actually use. Adding yours takes a few minutes.

What makes a report useful

  • Dates: when you checked in, when you checked out, when you first chased the deposit.
  • Amounts: deposit paid, amount returned, amount outstanding, in rupiah.
  • The property and city — building name is enough, no unit number needed.
  • What Travelio said, ideally quoted from the app chat or an email.
  • Any documents you hold: screenshots, photographs, the signed terms, payment proof.

Submission form

Reports go to a review queue, not straight to the site. We read each one, verify what can be verified, and publish the substance without your name unless you ask otherwise. Nothing is published automatically.

What happened (select all that apply)

If your deposit is being withheld right now, do this first

Before anything else, secure the evidence — because the record you need lives inside an app you do not control, and access to it can end when your tenancy does. An hour spent now is worth more than any amount of arguing later.

  • Screenshot the entire in-app chat history with Travelio, top to bottom. Not the key parts — all of it. Conversations get archived, accounts get closed, and a screenshot you did not take is an argument you cannot make.
  • Export or screenshot every email, including the booking confirmation and the signed terms and conditions.
  • Save your proof of the deposit payment: the bank transfer record or card statement line showing the amount, the date, and the account it went to.
  • Collect your check-in photographs and video. If you did not take any, say so plainly in your report — an honest gap is far stronger than a reconstruction.
  • Write down the timeline while you still remember it: check-out date, the date you first asked about the deposit, and every date you were promised something.
  • Note the exact wording of any reason you were given. "Awaiting billing confirmation" and "the bank name does not match" are both documented patterns, and quoting them precisely links your case to the others.

Store all of it somewhere outside the app — your own cloud drive, an email to yourself, anywhere you keep control of it.

What we publish and what we never publish

We publish the substance of your account: dates, amounts, what was said, the property and city. We never publish your full name, contact details, unit number, passport or KTP number, or bank details. You can ask to be listed as anonymous, and you can withdraw your report at any time by writing to us. If you send documents, redact identifying numbers before sending — we would rather never hold them.

Accuracy is the point

We only publish what a source supports. If we cannot corroborate a detail we will either mark it as your unverified account or leave it out. That discipline is what makes this record usable as evidence rather than dismissible as noise — and it is what protects you as well as us.
