Never again with Travelio Don’t trust Travelio, better to use another app/website. Read the other reviews, I’m not the only one who’s had a bad experience. The listing and the reality of the unit’s facilities are not the same. When I contacted Customer Support to ask for a refund, my case got tossed around between 5-6 people instead. And amazingly, not a single one of them could give a sensible solution

EVERYTHING ALL SLOW AND A HASSLE rented an apartment for a year. every process is slow and drags on and on. 1. gave the wrong contract 2. unit dirty, all the equipment and the interior, especially the cooking utensils, very dirty and greasy. 3. the room boy doesn’t know anything, everything is talk to CS, who can’t give any answers. 4. only given 1 access card. asked for one more card, waited a month, only got the same answer “I’ll follow up with the relevant team” SHIT

I Never Leave Reviews, But This Experience Was Too Awful to Ignore I’m not the type to write reviews, but this experience with Travelio made me genuinely angry. The room was far worse than advertised, dirty, smelly, and poorly maintained. The mattress had stains, the bathroom was disgusting, and everything felt unhygienic. Their customer service made it even worse. No phone number to call, just a useless chat box with painfully slow responses. They said they’d send someone to clean, but no one ever came. Honestly, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend Travelio to anyone.

Worst Accommodation Experience Ever, False Advertising and Terrible Service I booked a room via Travelio in Indonesia, and the reality was a huge letdown compared to the pictures. The room was extremely dirty, stained mattress, unwashed toilet, and grimy sink. It was nothing like what was advertised. To make matters worse, when we tried to contact them the next day about these issues, their response was ridiculously slow. They only offer a chat box as the communication channel, no phone support at all. They promised to send someone to clean but never followed up and kept us waiting for ages. This app deserves 0.5 stars at most. Save your money and time, avoid Travelio at all costs!

CS is difficult, the talk to us feature doesn’t help it really is so hard dealing with the CS on the talk to us feature, not helpful.

disappointed again and again second time booking an apartment here, always disappointed. the first time I felt cheated, the deposit money got cut by a huge amount for electricity, which was very disproportionate even though the apartment unit only has 2 ACs. and even then one was often switched off. no washing machine, microwave, etc. how can the electricity come to millions of rupiah?? second, booked an apartment, AC broken. asked for it to be fixed, waited 2 days. on top of that the sink was leaking so it smelled. on the day itself, in the afternoon, I was told it was postponed to the next day. of course I got annoyed and asked to change units. granted, they said the room boy would come at 19:30. it’s been an hour and still no word. they really don’t respect people’s time! not recommended!!

Lousy Service, Bad!!!!!!! Submitted a rental contract application on 8 JULY 2025 and until now there’s no news!!!!! Just told to wait wait wait, INSANE!!!!! asked what the problem is, just told to wait, asked how long the estimate is, told to wait againnn… trash!!!! Please, give some clarity, it’s like I’m begging for a rental contract…. Because of your bad service, I can’t get parking access and have to pay by the hour, it’s insane how much that’s cost already!!!! How else am I supposed to talk to this travelio??? Bad customer service! Honestly this is the service provider with the worst customer service. Every time you contact them you always have to explain from the beginning, and slow response. Once is enough using Travelio’s services because I’m very disappointed.

Refund deposit Checked out on 30 June, and to this day the deposit refund hasn't been returned, the admin also just says it's already in the queue, and it's all excuses for not returning the deposit

Deposit not returned Very very bad, I booked from 27 May and until now, 15 July, the deposit still hasn’t come out, with the excuse of waiting for the water and electricity bills!???? Heyyy at the start they promised a one-month wait, after that I was told to wait again until 15 July, once it was the 15th I was told again to wait until 7-8 August, INSANE, SERIOUSLY , what I’m asking for is my own money!!!! Scam Where do I start? So many heartbreaks with this app. I installed and used it with a very positive outlook and expectations and ended up with massive disappointment. From the moment I browse, requesting for survey, they said it’s impossible because they’re fully booked. Yet I book one so smoothly and the unit is available months afterwards. Next is the check in process delayed 4 hours without any explanation. Until I called their CS and bombarded them with angry notes, then I finally check in only to find out that one of the bedrooms is unusable due to AC drainage leak. Not to mention the broken washing machine, leaky toilets, and bathtub faucet not working. And yet this is a so-called luxury apartment which I rented for a whole month. Such a scam. Star 4.4??? Are you kidding me? 0 problem solving from customer service. Basically a bot!! Slow respond. Always asking for payment for things that don't matter. Getting the deposit back takes a really long time, but when it's asking for the customer's money they're quick. Always forcing you to give 5 stars at check in even though the service is 0. Never using travelio again!!!!

Very much not recommended Be careful renting a unit here, several times now my experience has always been the same. The check in process drags on, the room boy gets sacrificed as the target of guests' rage. The units aren't maintained properly, and if you complain they deliberately give you the runaround. This is the last time I'm using travelio, hopefully more and more people realise. Just try searching google or social media for travelio's problems before deciding to use this platform. Never trust reviews on social media or apps managed privately by travelio, because there are signs the comments are being curated.

NEVER USE THIS APP TO RENT If I can give this app a -100 star, I would have given it. I rented an apartment for a whole year from them and regretted it on day 4. Rubbish service. They cannot deliver what they are supposed to deliver based on their own terms and conditions. Customer service is just there to copy paste reply and won’t assist you properly in time of need. Even if your apartment is flooded at night due to their technician mistake, you are supposed to just swallow the nonsense and sleep with it. They do not provide what they promised to provide, which is to relocate you to other unit should something like this happened. It’s so frustrating to use their service. With the amount paid, you might as well contact the owner straight or rent using other app. They did a lousy job, they don’t care about their customer, they only care about your money entering their pocket.

Not recommended There were a lot of broken/stained stuff inside the unit when we check-in, and after check-out they claim that’s because of us and they charge us a lot and in the end, the total amount that we have to pay are much more than a 5-stars hotel. Definitely will ask friends and families to avoid renting from this platform👎🏻

SCAM don’t trust this Indonesian company Rp9 million taken, furniture broken, fridge moldy / lights, hair scattered everywhere, bath water not running, floor and table furniture sticky. The place wasn't cleaned before being rented out, customer service are all stupid, no responsibility. Didn't stay there, money not returned. Don’t trust any company in Indonesia , go for Traveloka or Airbnb. TRAVELIO IS SCAM

Deeply Disappointed Made the reservation and payment for the unit several months in advance, and two weeks before check in I was told the unit had a problem, and in the end it was agreed that the payment would be refunded within 3-7 days. To this day the refund hasn't been received and there's been no clarity from customer service. Will never book a unit through this app again. Very disappointing

VERY BAD Worst apartment agency. The staff aren't responsible and aren't responsive. The apartment management teams don't like this agency either, because its staff aren't responsive and are hard to get hold of. Getting hold of them is easy enough, sure, BUT THEY DON'T WORK ON THE COMPLAINT RIGHT AWAY. no idea why they're such a mess, God forbid. Every single CS fails to understand the core of the problem, so you have to follow up dozens of times, repeat the issue from the start dozens of times. So exhausting. Big no, seriously.

fraud The electricity and water bills are very different from the original invoice from the apartment. When I asked CS, CS wouldn't answer. Travelio has also never provided the invoices for the electricity and water bills.

Doesn't value the customer I moved in with a broken fridge. An appointment for an inspection on Monday was made right away. I waited the whole day but there was no word from the room boy who had promised. I contacted CS, was promised the next day, and the same thing happened. This happened 3 times. My time was wasted for nothing waiting, and I asked for compensation. What was shocking: my time, 3 days of not leaving the house to wait for travelio, was valued at only Rp150,000. Even a single day's minimum wage is more than what Travelio valued my time at.

Management in Shambles At check in, the unit was a mess and really dirty, everything broken. even though I'd already paid Rp600,000 for service. They promised a technician and the cleaning team would come but they still haven't come, it's been weeks. every day it's just empty talk, the management is a wreck. Better just look for another app, okay guys, okay.

DETRIMENTAL never ever use or rent/buy here I swear, all they do is make you wait, wait and wait, they don't value your time at all, basically there's loads, from the very start when moving in there were lots of problems that f*cking never got solved, got into the unit and it's like shit, and on top of that we're still the ones who have to wait in dangerous conditions, still acting like id*ots, the travelio people I SWEAR DON'T GO THROUGH HERE

Travelio made it hard to get my deposit back travelio made it difficult for me to get my deposit back, very unfortunate, there wasn't even wifi, and the gas was always leaking from the day I moved in until I moved out.

The worst experience ever! I booked 2 units in one apartment building. The web gave me option to use different name for guest, while booking from my account. So I wrote my name and a friend as guest for those 2 units. Not only the room boy came 1 hour late, the communication was a mess, and the customer service was slow in responding. The web and app was not connected, so I had to fill so many forms through WA chat despite already filled everything on the web. To return the deposit I had to wrote 3 statement letters just to prove that the different name I wrote for the guest in-fact was me using my own account, and still, the CS was not happy and kept telling me to wrote statement letter. THE WORSE EXPERIENCE IN BOOKING, CHECKING IN, AND DEPOSIT PAYMENT. Not recommended, will never use this app again.

DISAPPOINTED WITH TRAVELIO'S CHAOTIC ADMINISTRATION bad experience with travelio surabaya.. just because the name on the app and on the ID card were different, I was told to make a statement letter as a pdf, and if you can't edit the pdf, told to print it and then take a photo of it. And I was already tired, come on. From the start it was such a hassle, already booked, already paid, the booking code was clear, and I was told to wait for the booking code to be sent again and it got re-sent. What even is that, so weird! And on top of that they told me to pay a Rp300,000 deposit, even though the app said just Rp200,000. Better go to the ibis hotel in surabaya guys, no hassle, no deposit, no holding your ID card, nothing like that. Never using travelio again. Learned my lesson, such a hassle.. we're from out of town with things to do and at our most exhausted, and instead we got hassled by half-baked administration.

Slow CS Response All complaints are now routed through a bot where all the answers are templates. If it's outside the existing complaints, you don't get routed to the CS on duty/a human. As a result there's no resolution to the problems you run into. Contacting the relevant party is just the same, a month after the response there's still no action. You have to keep following up and it still doesn't get done. Travelio's service is terrible.

Not premium First This unit not premium and everypoint very dirty also dont have iron standhanger iron table rubishbox, kitchen stuff and main bedroom bed very hard u can wake up morning like a robot also everywhere ant even inside bed. Sofa smell very bed and they not clean the mirror and the gordyn. They selling premium unit but so far away with premium. So much dissapoint with travelio. It should be prepare before people booking but they make repair when people already book.

Talk To Agent travelio's Talk To Agent feature is really bad. The bot is completely useless, please add a button so we can talk to a real agent. Or have the WA answered quickly

Unprofessional CS Their CS is super sluggish to respond, whatever time you chat, you'll get a reply 5 hours later, and when you reply again you'll still have to wait another 5 hours..

Scammers From the supervisor to the employees, nobody takes responsibility, and they like to ignore customers' complaints, my advice to anyone who wants to rent through travelio, better think it over first rather than end up disappointed, they're nice at the start and later on they abandon the customer, I've already been their victim, I complained many times but got brushed off, and lots of things in the unit are broken too, not matching the photos, better use another travel agent, don't use travelio.

Deposit Refund Made Difficult 1. The app isn't flexible if we book a unit for someone else (e.g.: parents). Even though the booking is made through the app, we obviously transfer the deposit and the rent from our own bank account, not the account of the other person staying in the unit. The reasons and SOP they've made for refunding the deposit come across as making things difficult for people. 2. When we threatened to give a bad review, whether on purpose or not, the unit review tool in our app couldn't be used. On top of that the chat with agent tool was also off, didn't work. Bottom line, this Travelio app is very much not recommended 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

LOUSY APP such a hassle, they often relocate you however they like, even though I'd already found a place that's close, in line with my estimate, then suddenly I got moved far away, the system is a hassle, you get passed around from here to there, the app often has errors… if you guys book on another app, DON'T pick the ones labelled BY TRAVELIO okaaay..

Apartment The deposit still hasn't come back, even though the deposit was more expensive than the rent. The electricity bill is unclear, there's no data on how many kWh were used, just the total cost straight away.

Fraud I paid in full, but was given a unit with problems. I was promised it would be replaced, but even after the day was over no replacement unit was given. To the point that the customer was left stranded with no place to stay!!

APP HAS NO SOP JUST DON'T USE THIS APP, THE ADMINS HAVE NO SOP, EVERYONE GIVES A DIFFERENT ANSWER, NOBODY CAN HANDLE THE CASE. Always having problems, appointments with the room boy don't stick to the schedule, disrupting office hours.

IPL not paid to the building IPL for the first and second months was paid through the app, and now that it's already the 5th month it still hasn't been paid. It got to the point where the building threatened to cut off the electricity and water. Chatted for weeks, no solution

Disappointed with Their Service I had problems with check in, with slow responses from Travelio's side. Their WA is slow to respond, and the Call Center is just a machine. In the end I'm the one who's going to take the loss. I still won't accept it. Very...very disappointed with their response and their irresponsibility.

Garbage Lousy app, check in takes too long, and when you want to check out they make it a hassle for the user.

Very very disappointed with their service. truly one of the worst app for renting a unit because it's sooo hard to rent a unit!! just trying to get a unit showing is really hard, the schedule comes from travelio. and even then they don't tell you what time, and they can reschedule the unit showing the day before whenever they like, guess they think everyone has free time. the system is really disorganised too. travelio's admin is also really hard to get a reply from about anything at all, you chat one thing and they reply something else. and even then you wait all day for the reply🙄. the rental unit looks nice in the photos, but when you get to the apartment the unit is really not fit for purpose?? and it's really, really dirty. at the very least if they're going to rent it out they should do a cleaning the day before check in, right? was this really not checked or cleaned first? really so disappointed. I already asked for a work order to fix a few things in the unit, and yeah they fixed them but only halfway, and after that the things they fixed broke again. as if not…

Customer complaint The service is lacking, when it comes to asking for the deposit they're super quick, when it comes to information it's seriously lacking, a big minus, the room was already paid for and it turns out it's still under renovation, they gave a relocation but it took until 10 pm before I got one, then the parking situation is a mess. Not recommended for long-term staying I don't recommend it if you're looking for a place for a long-term rental. 1. Unit visits are only allowed for tenants who are going to rent for min. 6 months 2. At check-in, the room boy was 2 hours late. Whereas if a prospective tenant is late for check-in or reschedules the check-in time, they get hit with a fine/charge 3. My bad luck was getting a unit whose AC already looked old; I waited patiently enough for the AC to get cold, but it turned out it still wasn't cold even by the next day. I asked for a technician to come and it was scheduled for 13:00, and by 15:30 nobody from the team had contacted me. I called CS again and again but was still told to wait. 4. The deposit for units in the Surabaya area is pretty big, Rp4.5 million, and it's refunded 60 days from the check-out day. Sure, the app has lots of promos, but coordination when the unit has a problem is extremely difficult. Better to just look for a unit through a property agent. Meh Got a dirty unit, cockroaches, lots of damage, asked for repairs but they couldn't be done quickly. It seems the unit isn't inspected / checked before it's rented out to guests. The pest control person who came to the unit admitted they had never handled that unit. Asking for a refund / a different unit isn't possible, yet even asking for the damage to be repaired gets a slow response.

Booked travelio twice, all bad experiences. This is the second time, because a friend booked it. Check-in was by appointment, the person was 45 minutes late. The extra bed wasn't given a blanket, the wifi didn't work. They gave us soap so tiny it was like it was for ants, even though it was for 4 of us.
